Hey everyone!

As folks may have noticed from our updated roadmap page, we are actively working on the MultiColumnComboBox over the next couple of months (September -> January, as a part of the R1 2021 release efforts). Keep an eye on this thread for any updates for when the component drops!

Hi Karim,

In general, we add items for future development based on the provided customer demand for each component or specific feature. Our Roadmap demonstrates our short and long term goals and we are constantly monitoring the demand provided in the Feedback Portal. I understand that this may be disappointing but currently we have added other components, with a higher priority, for development in the short term. I will make sure to channel your concern to the dev team and we will continue to track the demand for the desired MultiColumnComboBox component.

I can also present you an offering that may be relevant and applicable to your needs - our Feature Acceleration program that is a part of our Professional Services.

It allows a customer to negotiate a certain component or functionality to be implemented on demand or sooner than our roadmap implies. Feature acceleration fits well in scenarios where a feature or enhancement is important for an application's success, but it is not planned to be available at the time of the application's completion.

Let me know if you are interested in pursuing this option or otherwise benefit from the expertise of our Professional Services team at any time and I will put you in touch with them to discuss your exact specifications and possible timeframes.

Regards,
Svetlin

Hey Svetlin,

I am aware of that but we are facing a lot of limitations with that approach. One of them is the floating label, which doesn't work with the jQuery MultiColumnComboBox.
I see this as one of the most important controls so I am very confused why this isn't implemented. We can pretty much not use the entire Kendo Angular suite without the MultiColumnComboBox. In every business application you need them.

Hi Karim,

We are tracking the demand for this feature request. What could be done as a workaround until it is provided as an Angular component is to use the Kendo UI for jQuery component inside an Angular application as demonstrated in the following article:

This is absolutely needed. I dont know how this is not implemented yet. There is a lot more things that Telerik has which are way less important.

I suggest that kendo support team rename this to MultiColumn DropDowns (Combo, List, Multi, AutoComplete).
