I'm happy to update this thread and mentioning that we introduced the Rich Text Editor component with R1 2019! Here's the component's demo page.

Hey everyone!

I wanted to update this item to make sure everyone was aware: we are actively working on a rich text editor for Angular! We'll keep this thread up-to-date as we get closer to the actual release, but keep an eye out for this component in the beginning of 2019!

Yes please - it really is a shortfall! All other text editors seem to have the rich text editor capabilities?!

In the meantime, do you have any examples of using the jquery version of the Rich Text editor with the angular cli supporting aot?

An editor, along with a grid, is one of the components that make a library really comprehensive!

We have numerous of places in applications where an Editor can be helpful but have to use a text area or another 3rd party editor, which create fragmentation, causes complexity and increase an application bundle.

Cannot wait to play around with a Kendo UI for Angular editor!
