CollectionView: [Android] Swipe and tap gestures sensitivity on some Samsung devices
When having swipe and tap gestures and building on Samsung device with android 13 the swipe gesture is with higher priority. the sensitivity of swipe is very high, resulting in not recognizing the tap.

Hi Luis,

It seems the issue is an issue in the Samsung phones and related to the sensitivity of the display. There are reports of similar behavior at the following link: https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS22/comments/tdo1m8/swipe_when_i_tap/ - in the shared link, the behavior occurs outside of the usage of Telerik controls.

Based on the research from our side so far, the issue happens on occasion, sometimes depending on the tap (when placing bigger part of the finger on the screen) the device sends data as if there is a motion which is normally interpreted as a swipe.

Didi

We've seen users complain of issues that feel very similar to this, although the app does not use swipe gestures (just tap for selection). telling people to go buy random other phones in the hope that they do not trigger the failure is not really an acceptable solution, so it'd be great if Telerik could look into this.

Hello Dimitris,

The issue is included in our planning, still I cannot commit a time-frame when a fix will be provided. The case is specific as it happens on specific Samsung devices.

When there is an update, this will be addressed in the public item.

Didi
