Provide an option to disable the Telerik UI for .NET MAUI toolbox that shows up by default in Visual Studio
It opens every time I open a solution that uses it. And even after I close it, it reappears at times. How do I get rid of it until I want it?

Hi,

The Toolbox and the Telerik menu in Visual Studio are provided by the Visual Studio extensions for Telerik UI for .NET MAUI:

https://www.telerik.com/maui-ui/documentation/installation/vs-integration/toolbox#telerik-toolbox-for-net-maui-on-windows

That said, you can still use Telerik UI for .NET MAUI components in your project even if the Visual Studio extensions are disabled. The extensions are required for design-time features (such as the Toolbox and menu), not for building or running your application.

For the workaround, I can disable the extension but still use Telerik components in my solutions?

Hello Tony,

This behavior of Telerik UI for .NET MAUI toolbox that shows once a xaml file is opened in Visual Studio is by design. Currently there is no built in option for customizing this behavior. I am crerating a feature request from your inquiry which we will consider for future implementation.

As a workaround you could consider disablingThe Telerik UI for .NET MAUI integration in the Extensions menu in Visual Studio as a temporary workaround:

Thank you for your feedback.
