Add Barcode reader control
A control that would read a QR code and return a string would make me buy this. I am currently using an ASP.NET Telerik Forms Site with instascan.js to read a QR code using a mobile camera, call an API endpoint, and display an alert (the heavy lifting is done on the server in the API). A simple QR scanner would be really useful in a mobile app "out of the box" unless you can suggest a free/low cost component I can plug into a solution based on the new MAUI platform from Telerik?

+1 for this item in MAUI.  This is desperately needed and the Zxing implementation is terrible (at least in the MAUI adaptation).

Hi Didi,

This feature is essential and could be in all packs of Telerik UI and mostly now in .NET MAUI.

Thanks,

Jefferson

Hello Damian,

The feature is not scheduled for implementation. When there is an update, the status will be changed.

As a solution for barcode scanner you can review the following option: https://github.com/Redth/ZXing.Net.Maui

Any information on when this will be added to the toolkit?  Mobile scanning is a cornerstone of a business project I'm implementing and could use some help getting it off the ground.

Thanks,
