ADD: Accessibility tags to exported PDF documents

Please add support for tags in exported PDF documents. We need these tags for accessibility purposes. Currently, when we export a PDF from a RadGrid, it is created without any tag structure, which can make it difficult for a screen reader to process correctly.

Hello Vincent,

I am afraid that the accessibility features are not supported. The feature request provided in the previous post is the correct one for this case. It has a lot of votes and there is high demand for this feature. This will increase its priority but at this point, I cannot say when we will schedule it for implementation.

I am not sure how the template case is connected to this. I believe that this is possible but I want to kindly ask you to open a new support ticket where you can give us an example of the desired functionality. This way we will be able to provide a precise solution.

What is the state of Telerik Document Processing when it comes to accessibility? More and more requirements exist where Pdf documents must be annotated and tagged in a specific way in order to be consumed by screen readers, etc.

What support exists for the use case of having a PDF Template and stamping it with customized values (like a mail merge?). In theory one could annotate the PDF template but there would also be a need to annotate any data one might stamp in form fields, or in the use case where a tabular output is required.

I note that this feature request is years old with the accessibility portion being the only piece missing. Can you point me/us to anything specific that speaks to these requirements?

Just to add to the request, we are requesting this to comply with accessibility standards. As a government agency with thousands of employees, we have certain guidelines that we need to follow, including making documents accessible to all users.
