Hi Sean,
Thank you for the provided information and screenshot.
We have this issue logged with high priority in our backlog, at the moment I cannot commit to a specific timeframe, but definitely we have this in mind and will provide the feature in some of the upcoming releases.
I use the event to create a "fancy" flyout, see attached. I listen to the opening event to do the animations and round the corner of the page when the drawer starts to open. I also reverse the process on the closing event.
This isn't a new feature since it is in the Xamarin implementation of the SideDrawer. The MAUI implementation is what is missing the events. I'm converting one of our apps over to MAUI so I need feature parity.
I've reviewed your bug report and converted it to a feature request I have also changed its status from "Pending review" to "Unplanned".
Currently, the DrawerOpening and DrawerClosing events are not implemented, because our goal is to gather more customer feedback about the feature so we can implement it in a way that would satisfy our client's needs.
May I ask you to provide me with more information about the approach you want to achieve now or any other scenarios that would aim at the demand of these two events?
This will help me understand the task so I can provide you with the best solution. Also, the provided information will be very essential for our team in the development of this new functionality of the SideDrawer.
Find your Telerik points updated as a small sign of gratitude for bringing this issue to our attention.
Thank you in advance I am looking forward to your reply.
