Feature Request - Editable/User-Modifiable Bar Chart Support

Hi Telerik Team,

I'm exploring options for implementing a data visualization feature in a feature project and was considering using KendoReact Bar Chart component.

I wanted to know if KendoReact currently supports -- or plans to support -- editable or user-modifiable bar charts? Specifically, I'm looking for functionality where users can click or drag a bar to their desired value, allowing for a direct manipulation of chart values.

I've seen the existing interactive features (i.e. tooltips, hover effects, selection), but I'm referring to a more hands-on editing capability to support both a visual and input interface.

This would be a useful feature for me and my team. I would like to know if anything like this is on your roadmap.

Thank you your time.

Best regards,

Hello, Irma,

Currently, the KendoReact Bar (Column) Chart does not offer built-in support for directly editing or dragging bars to modify their values. The interactive features available out-of-the-box include tooltips, hover effects, selection, and drill-down via the onSeriesClick event, but direct manipulation (such as dragging to edit) is not natively supported.

At this time, editable or drag-to-edit bar charts are not on the official KendoReact roadmap and there are no immediate plans for this functionality in upcoming releases. Therefore, I have converted this request to an official Feedback item so we can collect the overall interest in such implementation and plan it accordingly.

I have also update you Telerik points as a sign of gratitude for the submitted suggestion.

      Regards,
