File Download Manager
Full featured File Download Manager!
Very similar to the AsynchUploadManager, just in the other direction.

 functionality:
  - download multiple files in asynch mode
  - set a limit to the number of simultaneous downloads
  - progress bar/cancel options for each
  - default to client side 'downloads' directory
  - Handle filestreams
  - convert on the fly using document processing {download as PDF}
  - zip on the fly
  - cache temporary files for sending via email as attachments
  - notify on complete per file or per batch

Thanks!

Thank you for the nice feature request.

I've changed its status to approved, but it is still unclear when this useful functionality will be added to the File Explorer.
Until then you can try this workaround: http://monox.mono-software.com/blog/post/Mono/118/Multiple-download-in-Telerik-RadFileExplorer/

Hi Telerik software builders!
I would like to suggest to implement the multi select + download option into file explorer. If I look at your devexpress colleagues you will see that they already built the multi download into an automatic zip feature. I know it is possible to program al of that with own javascript etc..... code but this feature is so obvious missing and so useful to all file explorer users that I would suggest you to include the same functionality as your colleagues as from Q1 2016 asp.net. I like the way they added the checkmark column in front of the details view and the checkmark in the thumbs view.

Cheers and keep on being the best choice!
Kind regards
Matt

I constantly struggle with emailing attachments. There are many cases where they want a "receipt" or some element on the page to get emailed as an attachment. It would be great to do this with a temp file instead of having to save it to the server first.

This would be something we would use in our company a lot. It's been asked for over a year by our staff.
