expand/collapse group on Scheduler Hierarchical Grouping

Hello,

I have a Scheduler Hierarchical Grouping similar as https://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-mvc/scheduler/resources-grouping-hierarchical

rather than meeting room in the above sample, I have department name instead. I group a list of user names by department name on a scheduler timeline view.

Is it possible to have a expand/collapse icon to allow me expand/collapse on each department? similar as tree list below

Please advise. Thanks!

Hello Joh,

Yes, you are totally correct - the pointed implementation could be achieved only by a custom implementation if possible.

The custom implementations could be delivered by opening a Feature Request or by using the Professional Services Team option as the custom implementations are in their scope.

For the first option, I decided to open a Feature Request in our Feedback Portal. I have given a Vote on your behalf and you can Follow it for email notifications on status updates. You can see it here:

For the second option - let me know and I will contact the Professional Services Team for the case.

Hi Anton,

Gantt cannot have more than one task for each row, but scheduler timeline view does allow multiple tasks on each row. In my case, I need to do timeline view.

Is it possible to add expand/collapse feature by myself? and how?

Thanks!

Hi Joh,

Thank you for the image and details provided.

The Telerik UI Scheduler does not provide such functionality, but all the pointed requirements could be achieved by using a Telerik UI Gantt. The following demo represents the result:

Here is the needed documentation for the Gantt Component:

The Configuration options, Methods, and Events of the Gantt are described in the following article:

I hope this information helps. Let me know if further assistance or information is needed.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.
