How to mention or tag users

Hi Support,

I would like to find some code samples on how I can @tag-a-user in a chat window and get a menu come up with users to choose from.

This is a very common feature of most modern chat platforms but I have not yet been able to find any code on how to do this.

Please help.

Hi Vince,

I am afraid that the described functionality is currently not available in the Chat component. Such functionality would require visual indication that a user is tagged and more importantly - mechanism to inform that user that someone has tagged them.

That said, I have added your message as a feature request. We review feature requests regularly and prioritize them based on their impact for a given component and the current demand.
