Hi, Greg,
Thank you for your feedback. I have passed it on to our product managers.
I believe that the DateTimeOffset type will be able to deliver the required functionality as we need to know what is the timezone that the dates should offset to from the JavaScript dates that the browser automatically creates with local offset.
Hopefully, due to the popularity of the item, it should not be too long before we start working on it.
Kind Regards,

Hi Alex, thanks for the reply!
Yes, being able to bind to specific DateTimeOffset in the Date/DateTime picker I believe would be helpful.
In our case we would also love to be able to 'turn off' or set an option on the grid (by column/field if possible) to not automatically recalculate DateTimes for local offset as well.
As I mentioned we need all dates to display as we send them from our server as we are supplying time sensitive EST shipping date to our clients.
Any control that gives you more options in this regard is ultimately more flexible and requires less custom client scripting.

Hello, Greg,
Thank you for the suggestion.
Indeed there are quite a few suggestions which we have received when dealing with dates and your post has come to us in the right time frame as we are trying to crystalize the idea and understand which of the options that others have submitted would have the most positive impact and help accelerate the development time.
I believe that if we were to introduce DateTimeOffset binding, that would allow you to accomplish your requirement as this very popular item suggests:
We would appreciate it if you have a look at this and let us know what your thoughts are on this. Alternatively, this could be the other feature that might solve your current requirement:
Look forward to hearing back from you - here and also in the original items if you have a moment.
Kind
