MVC 6 Tag Helpers
It would be nice if the traditional HTML helper interface could be augmented with tag helpers for some of the simpler widgets. Dropdowns, date pickers, buttons and the like could all be good candidates for tag helpers.

*Updated* The DatePicker, TimePicker, DataTimePicker, Button, Window and NumericTextBox Tag Helpers have been released in R2'2016.

You may be happy to know this is already in our plans for the R2 release of this year, Duncan.

That's excellent. I tried searching for news about kendo and tag helpers (I assumed it would be a "planned" feature). Glad to hear that it is already in the works.
