DatePicker: does not respect the CurrentCulture/CurrentUICulture

when the device culture is changed to Arabic, the date picker does not respect the Hijri calendar

  • on iOS exception is thrown - System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Specified time is not supported in this calendar. It should be between 04/30/1900 00:00:00 (Gregorian date) and 11/16/2077 23:59:59 (Gregorian date), inclusive. Parameter name: time 

The DatePicker supports the Gregorian calendar

Hi Vijay,

The feedback item status is changed to "In Development".

The dev team researched the case further and applied a fix for the exception on iOS. If passing testing the fix will be included in R1 2021 Official Release. Still, the Date and DateTime Pickers will show the Gregorian date.

I have logged a feature request in our Feedback Portal for providing support for the Hijri calendar to the Date and DateTime Pickers. Please follow and vote for this item at the link below:
