Xamarin Forms, Newest everything

Out of the box, all Calendar views for iOS are in AM/PM

In Android the MultiDay is 24 hour, but the Day view is AM/PM

How can I force Android MultiDay to be AM/PM ?

Hello Telerik team !

I would like to suggest an improvement which should already be implemented as it may be a common requirement. (notice that I'm aware it's still in beta that's why I suggest a feature request).

Context :
Use a RadAutoCompleteView. Start to type something and select an item from the suggestions.

Current behavior :
The item is well selected but the keyboard remains visible even if you hide the suggestion view.

Expected behavior :
When selecting an item, the keyboard should be collapsed. (I tried to use a KeyboardService injected from platform specific implementation with dependency injection. I manage to make it work on Android but I couldn't find a workaround on iOS).

PS : it would be awesome to have a bindable property on this control which allows us to tell the control "hide the suggestion view and hide the keyboard when an item gets selected (touch input from user)". Name suggested : HideSuggestionAndKeyboardOnItemSelected (I didn't find a shorter name sorry  haha). Type : bool.

Pointing how to achieve that should be in the documentation as most of developpers who will use this control may want to achieve the same behavior. You'll save time and theirs if they don't need to reach you out and open a ticket to ask you how to do that.

Best regards to everyone!

Hello Telerik Team,

I would like to report a bug I found on Android (not iOS).

If you use a RadCalendar inside a content page which is inside a TabbedPage, you can't swipe on the RadCalendar when it is in ViewMode=Week.

You have to draw a diagonal to make it works otherwise, the swipe (on the RadCalendar) is handled by the TabbedPage and it changes the current page being displayed.

If the RadCalendar ViewMode is set in MultiDay, the Swipe is well handled by the RadCalendar (instead of the TabbedPage).

Expected behavior : swiping on the RadCalendar in ViewMode=Week should change the displayed week (like it does in ViewMode=MultiDay).

Current Behavior : swiping on the RadCalendar in ViewMode=Week should change the selected page of the TabbedPage.

Why I think it is a bug : in ViewMode=MultiDay, the swipe isn't handled the same way : it actually change the displayed day and doesn't change the current page of the TabbedPage control.

PS : if the RadCalendar ViewMode is set to Month, the swipe to change the displayed month is from top to bottom or bottom to top unlike the Week mode which handle swipe from right to left or left to right.

I wish you a happy new year and a lot of bug fix with a lot of new feature released :)

In Xamarin Forms.

When I call Calendar.ScrollAppointmentIntoView(theItem); in Android it works fine.

In iOS when the same call is made, the calendar scrolls about 1 pixel, then stops.

I put the call into a timer just to make sure it's there.

      Device.StartTimer(TimeSpan.FromMilliseconds(3000), () =>

              { Device.BeginInvokeOnMainThread(() => {  Calendar.ScrollAppointmentIntoView(theItem); });

                 return false; // True = Repeat again, False = Stop the timer

      });

Add a StyleSelector to allow for different background colors for different AllDayAppointments. Currently all appointments share the color defined in MultiDayView or the default one.

This would allow the appointment to have different background colors depending on the context of the appointment entity.

When Maximizing and Restoring the application's window, the RadSideDrawer's MainContent sometime gets measured wrong. This results in a corrupt state where all the main content is off-screen when the app is in the Restored state.

This can be tricky to reproduce without guidance, therefore I've recorded a video (attached) to demonstrate how to reproduce it as fast as possible with the code below:

<ContentPage ...>
    <telerikPrimitives:RadSideDrawer
            DrawerLength="400"
            AreGesturesEnabled="false"
            DrawerLocation="Bottom"
            DrawerTransitionType="SlideInOnTop"
            DrawerTransitionDuration="0.2"
            IsOpen="False"
            VerticalOptions="FillAndExpand">
        <telerikPrimitives:RadSideDrawer.DrawerContent>
            <StackLayout
                VerticalOptions="FillAndExpand"
                BackgroundColor="GreenYellow">
                <Label
                    Text="DrawerContent"
                    VerticalOptions="FillAndExpand"/>
            </StackLayout>
        </telerikPrimitives:RadSideDrawer.DrawerContent>
        <telerikPrimitives:RadSideDrawer.MainContent>
            <StackLayout
                Orientation="Vertical"
                VerticalOptions="FillAndExpand"
                BackgroundColor="LightBlue"
                Margin="0"
                Padding="10">
                <Button
                    Text="Telerik"
                    FontSize="Large"
                    BackgroundColor="Orange"
                    HorizontalOptions="FillAndExpand" />
            </StackLayout>
        </telerikPrimitives:RadSideDrawer.MainContent>
    </telerikPrimitives:RadSideDrawer>
</ContentPage>

Currently RadCheckBox follows the guidelines of the operating system, meaning that on iOS it is visualized as circle and on Android and UWP - as square.
