Hi Neli,

Regarding to the issue with the NumericInput value - its severity comes from the fact that this happens only on UWP, which makes it a platform specific issue. The layout used somehow prevents the value to be displayed. There are several issues on UWP related to the combination of Stack and ScrollView and they are not related in general to the Telerik controls. For example when input elements are inside ScrollView the first element always receives focus. This is an UWP related issue and again it is not related to a concrete Telerik Xamarin control.

Regarding the issue with the value display, I can assure you that I have escalated it to the development team based on your feedback.

Regarding Telerik .NET MAUI suite, we have a NumericInput control, which is not the same control as in Xamarin. I suggest you check the .NET MAUI Numeric control whether it fits in the requirements you have.

This issue has been open for four years. We have been customers for about 16 years now and are starting to question our investment in Telerik's controls for new projects because of issues like this. The offerings for well-established platforms like WinForms and WebForms are rock-solid. The controls for something like Xamarin UWP seem to fall apart when some complexity to the layout (i.e., a real-life screen) is added. All support in these situations does is offer very simple examples showing the functionality working. Is Telerik going to commit to offering a robust set of controls or should we expect that your offerings for Xamarin, MAUI, etc., will only work in the simplest of applications?

Hi Vardan,

I am afraid this issue  with NumericInput on UWP is not resolved yet. We regularly review the reported by customers issues and prioritize them according to various factors - severity, complexity, how many scenarios they affect and others.

It seems this issue didn't make to the planning due to other tasks with higher impact. I've raised the priority of the item per your comment, still, at this point, I cannot commit to a concrete timeframe for providing a fix.  We're going to update the feedback item's status as soon as there is any progress on it.

Yana

Hi Vardan,

Thank you for reporting this issue of RadNumericInput. Indeed, when the control is placed inside ScrollView, its Value is displayed only after the input receives the focus. I have updated the status of this item to "Approved", so we'll have it in mind.

Yana
