As for my use case, we have a growing startup company, that focus on enterprise resources planning/line of business software development, and our clients are requesting multi-platform support for our products, on desktops, tablets and mobiles. So we decided to create a new project focused on that, by using xamarin forms, to be able to share most of the code base on all platforms that it supports, and still being able to run native on each platform (thus giving us better performance and access to hardware peripherals) and keeping a visual interface integrity on any platform.

Android, IOS and UWP are a great start, but we need to support old windows 7 desktop applications (that runs on several of our clients), thats where WPF platforms shines on xamarin forms, allowing us to keep our systems running on old computer hardwares.
macOS support are for ours "fancier" customers, that prefer to pay more for the same ;)
GTK# (Linux) support are for ours humbles ones, that prefer to pay less, and use a more stable and cost free operating system :P

So far we aren't using any third parties controls collection on this new project, and we are creating custom components as required, and testing on all supported platforms.. But this process is slow and not very cost-effective, hence why we would love to see telerik supporting all platforms that xamarin forms supports!

what we will need on our projects: data grid, charts, input controls (entry, radio, checkbox..), listviews, drop down lists, buttons... the basics needs of interface.
