Hello,

The status of the item is updated to "Completed" as this issue is not reproducible in RadAutoCompleteView. Please consider using RadAutoCompleteView as it is a replacement of RadAutoComplete and have in mind that AutoComplete will be removed from the suite soon.

Hi all,

I have reverted the status of this item to "Approved" as it was postponed. With the release of the new and improved RadAutoCompleteView control the current issues of RadAutoComplete are put on hold. We're focused on completing the feature-set of the AutoCompleteView and we'd strongly recommend using the new control.  You could check RadAutoCompleteView documentation at the link below:

Hi Chris,

With R3 2018 we have shipped new AutoCompleteView component which is more intuitive and provides more features than the current AutoComplete. Both share the same API and the migration to the new one should be quite easy.  In addition, the CompletionMode property of AutoCompleteView works properly on all platforms. I'd suggest you try the new AutoCompleteView in your app and if you have any feedback on it, please let us know.

Yana, our RadAutoComplete still only functions as StartsWith for CompletionMode even when set to Contains. Did the fix make it in? We are using the latest version.

We've been working on major improvement of RadAutoComplete control for the upcoming R3 2018 (scheduled for mid-September) and a fix to this issue will also be included.

We're having the same issue and it makes the control unusable for us. Is this being worked on or should we look for a different AutoComplete control?

I am afraid we couldn't manage to find a suitable workaround for this issue.  Currently, we're working on a few items with higher priority, since you're following the item, you will receive an email notification when there is any update on the matter.
