Hi Joshua,
Thank you for your input.
The Entry control is used for single-line text input. This feature request is valid for Editors for RadDataForm control.
However, this feature request is not in our plans for the next release. We're keeping an eye on this item and will plan it according to the demand.

As a start, it would be nice to just have a multi-line entry, i.e. Telerik version of Editor. Or multiline could just be a property on Entry?

Hello Luke,
Thank you for your feedback. I am afraid we do not have this feature in our immediate plans for the next release. We're checking this item and we'll have it in mind for some of the upcoming releases of the product.

We really need this added as well.
We've tried working around it by using a template column and a label element, however we're getting issues with row height expanding too far when word wrapping and new lines are present in the text.

Same here. I feel like this is an important one especially for business applications.
If this could be implemented it would reduce the hassle of researching how to do this and provide more support to different data information.

Hi Lance,
Thanks for your help. With the custom property and some platform specific code I was able to get the desired effect. Thanks a lot!
Still voting for this in xamarin.forms to save the code and complexity!

Hi Martijn,
We do not currently have this specific use case for an example. You can however use whatever control you'd like as a custom editor, if you find that a specific control on a native platform meets your needs, then you can use that control.
We have initial documentation here, but I also recommend taking a look at the custom editor examples so you can get a full picture of the infrastructure.
SDKExamples: The CustomAutoCompleteEditor example uses a custom editor. Be sure to visit the native project's renderer for the actual editor implementation.

Same problem here. Is there a workaround or example of how to make a multiline text box? In basic Xamarin this is named "editor" and already exists. Can I somehow implement this editor inside my telerik dataform?

Hello Gabriel,
Please excuse me for the late reply. Unfortunately, we cannot provide an exact time frame. Currently, we are working on other features with higher priority. Please follow this public item so that you are automatically notified when there is any progress on the issue.
If we receive more reports from other users that this feature is needed, we will make sure to increase its priority further.

I really need this feature, is there an ETA on when this may be implemented?
