SideDrawer: Allow pages to be hosted in MainContent
Currently only Views can be hosted in the MainContent. If users can host Pages the RadSideDrawer could be used as root navigation component. This will allow customers to define the RadSideDrawer once throughout the application.
Still, at this point, we'll not be able to include the discussed here feature in RadSideDrawer in our planning - SideDrawer is a control placed inside a page, so hosting a page inside it would be quite a challenging scenario. We came to the conclusion it would be a much cleaner solution to use the provided by the framework navigation structure through Shell.

Hi,
Xamarin shell is far from what you can do with SideDrawer, I tried to make a Xamarin Shell application, then fallback to Xamarin SideDrawer for (at least) the following reasons :
Cannot set the position of the flyout
Cannot display a page that is not listed in the flyout
Cannot change flyout item height
Definitely not as powerful as sidedrawer

Hello everyone,
We wanted to give you an update on this request. Recently, Xamarin introduced a new concept called Shell, which provides very powerful navigation capabilities such as SideDrawer (called FlyoutMenu), Tabs, Search, URI navigation and more. Hence the scenario that this request was supposed to cover is already covered by the capabilities that Shell provides, which makes this request obsolete. For this reason, we will decline this request.
Should you feel that there is a case that is not possible to be achieved with Shell and introducing this request could cover, please let us know. We will be keeping an eye for any future comments.

Yes, please. Implement this feature. I remember I was so disappointing when realizing this could not be done in the current version.

This feature would also set you apart from the stock MasterDetailPage. Since this navigation rarely changes within the lifecycle of the application, this feature will be extremely useful.
