Remote machine resolution changes

I have enabled the "Reconnect to console on disconnect" option in my execution server. When I close the active remote connection, I noticed that the resolution changes and this causes my tests to fail.

Please find a solution for this.

Hello,

Thank you for sharing details about the applied solution. You need to be careful, indeed, if the machine is used with physical monitors as well, as they might not support some higher resolutions.

Our engineering team will investigate the issue and plan it for future releases. Please vote, to increase this bug's importance and follow it to get notifications.

Thank you for your valuable feedback.

To clarify, I believe the issue was that the console resolution is set to a very basic default resolution.  It is only ever used to hook to a small monitor at the data center so this only becomes an issue when the remote session is connected to it and the web application displays in a way that makes tests fail.

I had success after manually setting the resolution on the console.  I haven't tried rebooting or anything yet, but I am assuming that the console resolution will persist.  For others that may not have physical access to a console using the workaround of setting the resolution may not be possible.

One problem with the workaround I see is that when I am physically at the server and need to connect a monitor to login on the console session there may be an issue if the monitor doesn't support the high resolution that my tests require, but that isn't a major concern for me at present.
