Storage Server in Trial Version
Hi,
actually we try TestStudio, but we have some problems. We record some tests and we wrote some tests. Recording is not that easy, because the detection of elements is not configureable (we need detection by id everytime). But this is not our major Problem. In the Trial Version we cannot test the full system. We want to try the scheduling server with the execution server. But when we try to connect, we get an error message that we need a storage server. The problem is, its not implemented in the trial version. Can you tell me solution for our problem?

Hi Daniel,
The Test Studio trial version does not have the storage and scheduling features enabled by default, but they can be turned on: http://docs.telerik.com/teststudio/getting-started/installation/add-services .
Typically after a short proof-of-concept our customers then implement the storage and scheduling components during the deployment phase, post-purchase. We also provide Pro Services assistance to those customers that want a turnkey solution, or just need a hand deploying Test Studio within their test lab.

On your issue of element logic and using the id, that is precisely what Test Studio is designed to do. You can completely configure the Project-level Find Logic strategy: http://docs.telerik.com/teststudio/features/project-settings/find-logic , and Edit Elements individually in addition: http://docs.telerik.com/teststudio/features/elements-explorer/find-element . If you are having difficulty with this not working as promised then I urge you to submit a support ticket from the built-in Help menu.

You have access to our support team throughout the trial. Please note that the support response is guaranteed as 24hrs (business days) for customers, but this is 72hrs (business days) for trialers. I encourage you to include (CC) your salesperson on the support ticket in order for the salesperson to better escalate and assist you and your team.
