Scheduling a test list causes tests to be checked out

In a particular customer project there are three tests that appear to be edited when trying to schedule a test list which contains them. Although they files are not changed and are the latest version from TFS Test Studio prompts a dialog to save them. 
1. Project is connected to TFS and the latest version is downloaded. 
2. Schedule a test list that includes any of the three problematic tests. 

Expected behavior: To schedule the test list without checking out any files. 

Actual behavior: Three particular tests are checked out.

Telerik: this seems to be an expected behavior, that is related to the way the project is created (copy/paste tests from windows explorer and the unique IDs of the tests are mixed up). In addition the tests in question contain test as steps which were actually referring to tests from the initial project. Test Studio creates and supports unique IDs of each test and when tests used in tests as steps have their relation broken, Test Studio fixes the references, thus resulting in check out of tests when loaded.
