Version validation failed. The version '9.0.3042.0' of the targeted SqlServer '(local)\SQLExpress' is less than the minimum supported '10.0.0.0'

I have 'Telerik.TestStudio.2013.1.1120' test studio version installed on my machine. I wanted to configured Scheduling server on my machine but during configuration whenever I tried to connect to my SQL database I'm getting below error and hence unable to install Scheduling server.
Error is:
"Version validation failed. The version '9.0.3042.0' of the targeted SqlServer '(local)\SQLExpress' is less than the minimum supported '10.0.0.0'"

I have SQL 2008 R2 developer edition installed on my machine.
Please provide a proper solution so that I can configure scheduler successfully.

Hello,

The version 9.0 refers to SQL 2005, which is not supported. This sounds like SQL instances configuration problem on the particular machine - the SQL seems to default to the 2005 version.
