Looks like creating console method no longer works, which makes this request valid again. Our team would appreciate a native option in Test Studio instead of creating our own console apps for a commonly used function.

While making a command line application is fine, if artoftest.runner had an additional parameter that determined what the result file type would be great.

Or even allow both files to be outputted for the purpose to have TeamCity process the TRX file to show test results in Team City and allow an automated tester to repair using Test Studio with the aiiresult file.

Hi Kurt,

No worries.. we got it I think..

A small console application can be written based on API of method PublishManager.CreateTRX(input, output) in assembly "ArtOfTest.WebAii.Design.dll".

Thanks,

Hi Kurt

It is really cool and demanding features and we will need same solution for our project. So can we have the sample code to covert test studio results in .trx file?

Thanks,

I have contacted support team about an alternative before this is implemented in product, and they have gotten back to me quickly with great suggestion, even sample code.

An extra step is needed to convert the native Test Studio result file to TRX in order to be published on TeamCity. A small console application can be written based on API of method PublishManager.CreateTRX(input, output) in assembly "ArtOfTest.WebAii.Design.dll".

Hi Byron, I see that the status have been changed to "Approved", does it mean that the idea will make its way into development?

Thanks!
