Once you sort the columns of the performance overview gadget, it is VERY difficult to unsort them.  You might think step # just puts them back, the problem is tests that are broken into separate files will duplicate step #s.  Sorting by step in this case will mix steps from different tests.  After much effort I found that I had to either close Test Studio and reopen or sort on the error column - for some reason that puts the default sort back.
