Apple Mac / OSX Browser Execution Support

Mac OS X makes up 3.5% of today's Operating System market share, and is the 5th most popular OS available. Most of Test Studio's competitors offer some form of OSX support including HP, Smartbear, and Squish. Having the ability to execute web tests in a Mac OS environment would be tremendous.

Does Telerik have an aim in the future to support Telerik Test Studio on Macs and Linux?

Hi, at the moment we don't have this feature on our roadmap for this year. We are considering it for the next year. When there is something new, we will update this Feature Requst item.

There is an ever growing population for Mac / OS X. 

I'd be happy to create my automations in Windows using Test Studio - just need a way to execute these tests on the latest and greatest versions of Safari for Mac.

Could you advise if this is at all being considered for the roadmap please?  Seems like a HUGE missing feature.

This would be awesome.  Right now are manually testing against OSX and safari as using Windows version of Safari is not a true to life scenario for the browser.  Having a runtime version for OSX would be greatly appreciated.

Having the ability to execute tests on OS X would greatly expand the flexibility of tool while simultaneously cater to a much larger audience. This would also align you with much of the competition in the record/playback automation space.

We would really like to be able to execute test from Test Studio on a MAC. We have a large population of users who are MAC users and would like to stop having to do 100% manual testing for MACs.

Is your request about running Test Studio for Desktop on Mac? I'm afraid we don't have plans to rebuild the application for MAC in near future.
