I think we should be able to grab/drag elements from the element explorer into a test step, or onto the test window to create a step using that element. Then you wouldn't have to create a step in the recorder and replace it with the reusable elements that are managed in the explorer. 

At the moment I'm just recording steps, replacing new elements with existing ones, and then deleting the 'div1' element that was created by the recorder.
