ssrs reportviewer

Please develop an html5 / Angular JavaScript ReportViewer that works with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).  You would sell TONS of it!

 

YES, I'm aware you have a ReportViewer that works with your server reporting solution.  but your reporting solution does not scale.  Furthermore, we have TONS of SSRS reports we don't want to re-write.  It would be way too expensive!  Thanks for your consideration.

Hello Brian,

I am sorry to hear about your frustration and indeed, I can understand where it comes from. Most of our features were requested by our customers in the Feedback Portal and given that, your feedback is extremely valuable to us as along with the other, it helps shape our roadmap. Even as it is really important for us to always deliver a product that satisfies your needs, sometimes we are not able to implement some features for the next release(s) due to the fact that others have bigger priority and impact.

Still, if you decide to migrate from SSRS to Telerik Reporting, we will do our best to assist you and help you as much as possible. Another option is to request such a converter as my colleague Peter suggested in the previous response.

We are ready to consider any additional feedback.

Hi Brian,

Thank you for the good words. We appreciate it.

However this feature is out of Telerik Reporting scope. We do our best to improve the Telerik Reporting engine and the viewers continuously, in order to provide provide competitive product package to Telerik customers.

If the main issue is the difficulty to migrate the SSRS report definition to Telerik report definitions, consider requesting a report definitions converter. If possible and there is high demand for such converter we will consider it.

we have hundreds of ssrs reports that we dont want to convert.  We’ve been waiting years for an updated reportviewer from microsoft that will work with SPA apps / aspnet core.  To date nothing has been announced.  We have looked at syncfusion’s reportviewer (and others) but its buggy.  Im looking for a reliable vendor that writes great ui controls and offers a reportviewer for ssrs reporting.  You guys are a natural fit.  Thank you!

Thank you for the feature request. Our client feedback is invaluable to our products advancement.

Generally the Telerik Reporting REST Service is capable to scale with the supported storage. Please elaborate on the experienced scale difficulties.
