Ability to search a dropdown/multi select report parameter when they contain many items

If I have a dropdown or multi select list as a report parameter, if there are many items in the list then you are forever scrolling. Can a search feature be built in so that you can search for items you want in the list and select rather than having to scrolling up and down?

Hello John,

The HTML5-based viewers support a dropdown list with a search bar out-of-the-box. You can check our Product Catalog demo report. Basically, if you set the parameter editor type to be ComboBox, then it is not necessary to make any other settings. Can you please send us a video of when the problem is reproducible or a sample project, so we can inspect it locally?

I have a report where it sometimes shows a search for a list parameter, sometimes not - how do I control that?

Hello Nick,

This feature has been implemented in the R1 2019 release. You can try the new behavior out in our online demos. Documentation on the feature is available here.
