Legend shapes
Hi,

I request to support Legend of circle/line/rectangle etc. in all series so that the developer can choose the shape, as the recent trends in finance are flexibility in legend shape. Currently there is no flexibility in having circular Legend for Pie Charts. Please incorporate it in your release at the earliest.

After consideration, we decided that the best option would be to reuse the existing Shape item types as additional markers in Graph legend. Since the Shape item supports creating custom shape types programmatically, is should cover the majority of user scenarios.

The legend markers depend on the series type - in pie charts we actually present bar series in polar coordinate system - that's why the legend mark is rectangle.
In 2017 R2 SP1 we introduced support for BackgroundImage for legend items. This way you could set any image to be displayed as a mark background. 
We believe that this approach covers the scenario described above and we would like to hear if it works for you.

Yes. It would be helpful, if the legend marker shape is provided as circle in all type of charts. So that it will be uniform in all type of reports.

This Feature is really needed and would be useful. since its a pie chart if the legend shape appears in circle it looks good.
