Depending on the input data, the pie chart can cause a DocumentRenderException in the Skia graphics engine

When the input data of a pie chart is such that some of the series are insignificant enough not to be drawn on the surface area, a DocumentRenderException with the message "The operation was canceled" is thrown by the Reporting engine.

Enlarging the pie chart or hiding/removing its data point labels clears the error.

Hello Daniel,

We discussed this in your ticket but I am updating the public thread for anyone else that may have encountered the same bug.

Indeed, using the new data you provided the "DocumentRenderException" exception is thrown even in the Q2 Reporting version. Therefore, we must have resolved only some manifestations of the bug so far. We will continue investigating the issue and update this thread as soon as there are new developments.

Hi Team,

We have raised the issue in march and your team promise to fix the issue in (Telerik Reporting 2024 Q2 18.124.514) Q2 released. We have upgrade this version and facing same issue and getting error as The operation was cancelled in pie chart. Please see below ticket we have raised in march. I am sharing below as data set used to create pie chart. We are not doing any development unless this is fixed, we have have inform the client we will released the fix  today but we are facing same issue. Please suggest if you can confirm when you can actually fix the issue with actual date.

A fix for this bug will be released on schedule with the 2024 Q2 release on the 15th of May.
