Accessibility Improvements: Untagging or Artifacting Page Headers, Page Footers, Irrelevant Objects (e.g., logos repeated on each page).
Many documents have repeating information that is irrelevant and needs to be untagged, or artifacted, so that assisstive technology does not share the information multiple times. Common examples of this situation are headers, footers, page numbers, and decorative images. In most cases, it is not necessary to read these document elements on each page, so we untag the information to prevent repetition for the person reading the document with assistive technology. Is there a way to mark a report section - e.g., the page header or page footer - as Untagged or Artifacted, and have those tags be exported to the PDF? It would save a ton of time having to manually go through several hundred pages and untagging them manually.

Dimitar,

Thanks. As long as the Accessibility Role can be set to Artifact or explicitly not tagged, i.e., "None", then I think it would address the issue.

Hi James,

Thank you for the feedback!

This is a valid request and we plan to implement it, however, we see this as being part of the implementation of the Accessibility Enhancement: Export the Style Heading Levels to the tag structure in Adobe PDF (telerik.com) FR.

Basically, when the AccessibilityRole property is None, the element won't be tagged.

Considering that this will be a part of the implementation for the other request, we will decline this one and if you have any further comments/suggestions, you may add them to that item.

Thank you for using Telerik Reporting!

Regards,
Dimitar
