Hi everyone,
I am happy to share that this request has been completed and support for all Kendo UI themes in the Web Report Designer is available as of 20.2.26.812.
You can now use any of the built-in Kendo UI themes, as well as customized themes (for example, through ThemeBuilder), to better align the designer with your application's look and feel.
To apply an external theme, you can reference its stylesheet before initializing the Web Report Designer and set the designer's useExternalTheme option to true. For more information, please check the following documentation articles:
Thank you for helping us improve the product and for your feedback throughout the process. If you have had a chance to use the new theming support, we would be happy to hear about your experience!
+1 for custom theme support in the Report Designer.
We're currently adding it to a Blazor app, and we decided to go with Telerik over Reveal based on the (quite a bit of) marketing you've done lately around Embedded Reporting using the Report Designer. We only recently realized the lack of support for a custom Telerik theme, which we're already using throughout the rest of our app.
I'd assume many (most?) sufficiently complex business apps use a custom theme, especially if they're customer-facing. It doesn't make much sense to me to push the Embedded Reporting feature knowing it's only going to look right in apps using a few prefab themes.

Hello Greg,
The feature does not yet have a planned release for it. Regarding defining the CSS, do you mean being able to choose your own colors, fonts, etc.?
We cannot promise, at this point, that something like this will be possible when this feature is implemented as our initial plan was to support the other Kendo SASS themes offered out of the box from Kendo.
We will update this thread with more information after we have further discussed the implementation of this feature. Please stay tuned.
Regards,
Dimitar

Can someone from Telerik let us know where this stands in Priority? Providing some sort of hook into the report designer controller base class to define the kendo theme css seems like reasonable and relatively low impact solution. Thanks.
