Parallelize the Reporting Engine

Optimize the Telerik Reporting performance by parallelizing the reporting paging and rendering. Better utilize CPUs with multiple cores and as a result, improve the REST Service throughput and decrease the viewers' rendering times.

All,

This is to notify you that I will update the status of this feedback item to Completed.

Why? Performance improvement is a continuous process and we strive to optimize both the report generation engine and the report authoring tools regularly. This particular improvement idea was implemented long ago and it does not make sense to keep this item "In Development". I welcome any ideas, so please log such as a separate item. Thank you.

Hello Tursunkhuja,

Some of the improvements that we have done in the past were while generating the graph series and processing/measure/paginate runs on 1 thread and rendering on another.

It will help us a lot if you can send us a report that runs slow, so we can test it on the server on our end.

In addition, we always recommend using the latest version of our products. For the Telerik Report Server, this is the 8.1.22.622.

Hi,

When do you expect to finish optimizing the Telerik Reporting performance? The rendering report really takes some times (a few seconds) which.

With R3 2020 we did separate the report pagination and report pages output gaining significant performance improvement. More improvements get planned. Thank you for your support!
