Introduce gauges report item
As a developer
I would like to have a built-in support for rendering various gauges in the report content
So that I can represent numeric values in a visually appealing way.

Hi all,

I am pleased to announce that the R2 2023  iteration of Telerik Reporting and Telerik Report Server products introduce a Radial Gauge item. It allows representing a KPI according to a range or multiple ranges. 

The Value property should be data-bound to the KPI value. The start and the end of each defined range can also be data-bound if necessary.  

The item offers a comprehensive API to adjust the presentation of all its visual parts.

For this version, the Standalone Report Designer offers two presets of the item - one with a single range and one with multiple ranges. The Web Report Designer offers one preset with multiple ranges.

Hello Sebastien,

The workaround is still to render the Gauge with an external tool to an image and display it in a PictureBox item. I'm afraid our development team were busy implementing features with higher demand and priority for R2 2019 release and the Gauge was left for future releases, most probably for the first release of the next year. We could also consider introducing a new SVG renderer for higher quality of images. 

I am sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused.

This feature was planned on May 2019 on the road map, but it was not released and has been removed from the road map.

Can you tell me more about this feature, I really need it and bitmap picture is not satisfying (quality, pdf size...).

Vector picture like svg would be a good alternative.
