PdfProcessing: Encrypted documents with an AES-256 algorithm are opened as empty documents on Apple devices

Generate a sample document with RadPdfProcessing and export it with AES-256 encryption. Try to open it on an iPhone with the default Pdf Viewer of iOS. The document is empty. However, the mobile version of Adobe for iOS opens the document successfully.

Hello, Matt,

We are currently working on providing such functionality and the achieved results are successful so far. If the quality assurance workflow is performed successfully, we will do our best to introduce the improvement in the upcoming Q4 2025 release which is scheduled for the middle of next week. Stay tuned.

This works using iText to ecrypt the document as can be seen in the document and thread here. The document was encrypted using iText and opens correctly on an iPhone so this must be possible. If you view inspect the document it may possible to see the differencces with your implimentation.

https://feedback.telerik.com/document-processing/1699425-pdfprocessing-add-support-for-encrypting-documents-with-an-aes-128-algorithm

I have reattached the document Dan provided created with iText to this thread for easier access.

Thanks
