PdfProcessing: Signing document with signature field produces document which leads to error in Adobe Acrobat

After signing a document using the PdfProcessing library and the document is loaded in Adobe Acrobat an error is shown when the signature widget is clicked:
Error during signature verification.

Adobe Acrobat error.
Expected a dict object.

Hello,

This item will be available in R1 2023 SP1 Release.

It is also available with Telerik UI for WPF's latest internal build - LIB 2023.1.220 (20 Feb 2023) if you need it earlier.

Our team is devoted to providing the best experience to our users, which includes fixing bugs and implementing features that affect the most clients. We do our best to fix all bugs, yet some receive less attention than others, which is why they can sometimes be delayed, such as this one. As much as I'd like to share an ETA on its resolution, currently, none is available, so I would not want to mislead you. Come on Telerik,

this bug is nearly 3 years old and still not fixed.

If my users click on such a PDF they get a very bad impression of my software. This bug makes PDF signing worthless. Even worse, the signature is not visible in Acrobat Reader.

I'm a very long time Telerik customer, but do I really have to look for another solution provider?

I am sorry to hear that you are disappointed with the functionalities of PdfProcessing. I have reviewed your support history and while I admit that you have hit some limitations in the capabilities, I can assure you that we are actively working on improving the functionalities and adding new ones. I would suggest you subscribe to the tasks that you would like to see implemented, so you can be notified when the status change.
