Already starting with PDF 1.7 (Acrobat 9) AES-256 is supported for encryption.
Currently we need to implement some workarounds in our applications due to this missing feature. This might be a business-critical feature for others as well, and I expect from Telerik to support it (as it is a standard in PDF since long time).

Hello Suboon,
This feature is not scheduled for implementation in the next release (all items are already planned). So it will not be implemented for several months from now. Unfortunately, at the moment I can not provide a timeframe for its implementation.
For our clients, we often use encrypted pdf files. If this encryption algorithm is not supported (if support is delayed), we will have to find another solution. Can you give me information about your support plan?

Hi Eric,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. The task is not included in the current release planning, thus I cannot say when it might get implemented. Please, make sure to cast your vote for it and continue following this item so we can notify you about any updates. I am sorry for the inconvenience this might be causing you.

@Telerik: we need this feature to be able to display/process PDF files that have been signed by modern signatue algorithms; if the feature remains unimplemented we regrettably would have to look for another SDK; please also see support Ticket ID: 1499690; best regards, Datema development team.

Hi Mi Ha,
Thank you for the suggestion. I am adding it to the internal information and we will consider it when starting the implementation.

This one could be easy, if you would use open source project bouncy-castle: http://www.bouncycastle.org/csharp/
