PKCS#7 signature using a .cer file, it contains your public key and information. PKCS#12 signature using a .pfx file contains cryptographic information such as private key, so the real digital signature is using the private key to sign pdf.
Will Telerik add PKCS#12 encodings in the future?

Hello Mi Ha,
You may find information about our digital signature implementation in this documentation article:
https://docs.telerik.com/devtools/document-processing/libraries/radpdfprocessing/features/digital-signature
If you have any questions about the implementation or need any additional functionality you may open a support ticket and we may create new feedback item related to the required feature request.

I'm glad you finally got it into development. But I think signatures could not be done in a simple sprint because it is a huge beast.
So what time frame do you have for development of this feature?
What features of digital signatures will be supported?
What will not be possible when implemented?
Maybe you find some time to elaborate on this questions.
Thanks!

HI Mi Ha,
I guess there were some issues with this item, hence the deleted posts.
Anyway, this request is still here where the community can vote for share use cases and requirements. It is definitely in our todo list, and will be considered for implementation. For now, we cannot engage with timeframe unfortunately, but stay tuned.
I am not sure why you have such a feeling that everything shifts, but I can assure you we are still heavily investing in UI for WPF. You can follow our blogs and release notes where you can see what amount of work we put into the product every release. Of course, everything has priorities and for a product with over 110 controls, some items might get done earlier than others.
I hope this clears things up.
Regards,
Stefan Stefanov

I get a little confused now. Peter R wrote: "... Generally PDF Signing is not in the Telerik Reporting scope...". Now his message is deleted.
Stefan thanks Alan after 4 months.
What should I think about the item now? Is Telerik still able to handle such a complex topic like PDF? I really get upset slowly. There is no clear roadmap, there are signs PDF will be dropped or never be fully supported. What is going wrong?
I have the feeling, after Progress took over Telerik everything shifts in the wrong direction... There is no progress because of Progress anymore?

I agree, the need for creating pdf documents with digital signature blocks in this day and age are a requirement for developers. Please consider adding this feature!
