Add the option of a Personal Access Token with a custom expiration period

We are using Telerik Report Server and have integrated it with our web application. For authentication between the web application and Telerik Report Server, we created a dedicated service user and generated a Personal Access Token (PAT) for that user.

Currently, the maximum expiration period we are able to configure for the PAT is 365 days.

Since this token is used for application-to-server authentication rather than interactive user access, the annual expiration introduces an operational dependency. If the token expires without being renewed and updated in the application configuration, it could result in an interruption to report access.

Please introduce the option to create a PAT that does not expire.

Hello Vaishnava,

We discussed your requirement and decided to introduce a Personal Access Token with a custom expiration rather than a non-expiring one. The reason is that the latter would be considered a vulnerability.

For example, we would let the user select an expiration date for the token.

I adapted the title of this feature request to comply with our intentions.
