Support nested categories / directories for reports
> Ability to build directories for storing reports; and allow assigning user permissions per user.
> So, Application A, will have its reports in Directory A; Application B, will have its reports in Directory B.

We currently provide SSRS reports to users using a folder/directory structure similar to Windows Explorer, and we grant access rights at the folder level. Users access their reports in the same way they navigate Windows Explorer to generate reports. We cannot migrate the reports to the Telerik Reporting Server until this feature is implemented.

Hi, the organization we have chosen is in one level (called Categories) for simplicity of navigation and simplicity of authorization management. We support user roles for easy authorization setup. If you need full isolation of the assets for different departments/applications you need a feature called multitenancy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multitenancy . I have logged this as a separate feature request so that anyone can vote for it: https://feedback.telerik.com/Project/171/Feedback/Details/236086-add-multitenancy-support That explained, I will change the title from "Reports Directory with Permisions" to "Support nested categories / directories for reports" and leave it Under Review for now.

It will be a miss if I need to use the product to serve more than application, more than department (isolation required). And each application or department has its own category.

It will be a plus to have a sub-directories, even for one-level (which will be the application or the department), but in that case, I will need to separate categories per application/department.

Hi,

Have you tried achieving this scenario with the Categories and User Roles functionality that we have?
We currently don't provide sub categories/user roles and hierarchy, but we will consider it in future.
