I am getting the Message "There are erros in SASS and it cannot be compiled to CSS" // I am suggesting a Protocoll where you can revert the last 10 changes

I am getting this error, but am not able to revert the changes nor does it say where exact the error is. Do I have to start all over again!?
In my opinion the whole ThemeBuilder is still in Beta.

I suggest to implement a protocol tool with which you can revert the last 10 changes made in to the theme!

Hi Sören,

I have fixed the project and the customisations you have made are now loaded. What I did is:

  1. Deleted the usage of $Dropshadow-Dialog in Dialog component property grid
  2. Deleted $Dropshadow-Dialog itself
  3. Re-created $Dropshadow-Dialog again
  4. Used $Dropshadow-Dialog in Dialog component property grid as it was customised

Please check if everything works and is styled as expected and if so - you can delete themebuilder@progress.com from you project shared users.

As for the general changes protocol, I have logged it publicly in Improve undo operations for easier resolving styles compilation errors so we can track interest and handle priority.

Hello Ventsi,

yes please fix the error for me in the project so I can continue to work on it.

If there would be a general "protocol" of changes I made I would have been able to undo the changes by my own and would have been able to identify the error and at least could have go on with the work. Currently you can only revert/reset each control by its own. A "general" list of changes the user made would be grate; like in photoshop (see image below)

Best regards,

Sören

Hello Sören,

Thank you for sharing your project with us.

I have checked your customisations and it looks like you have hit a known issue that we have a fix for underway.

In short, you have created the $Dropshadow-Dialog effect and later created the $dropshadow-color that is now used in the $Dropshadow-Dialog. In the generated SASS, the color is defined after the drop-shadow that is using it and this causes a SASS compilation error.

I would suggest to fix your project so you can continue your work prior the release of the fix. If that works for you, just let me know when would be a good time to do the required changes.

Hello Ventsi,

it happened again. I started from scratch with a bootstrap theme. Everything worked fine until I wanted to change the $kendo-border-radius from 0.25rem to 0.125rem. Reverting the action did not help. I am stuck again, frustrating and time consuming.

I will email it to themebuilder@progress.com

Regards

Sören

Hi Sören,

It seems that there are some SASS errors preventing it from compilation to CSS. Could you please share this project with themebuilder@progress.com so we can further investigate the case and try to fix the project for you?

In addition, could you share some more details about the project - did you create it from scratch or duplicated and existing one?

As for reverting changes, you can use the undo/redo buttons in the project header, right above the error you have highlighted or use the assigned keyboard shortcuts.
