Import stylesheet edited outside of ThemeBuilder

Hello,

I am noticing that there are several styles that we cannot access through ThemeBuilder such as adding transitions, custom icons, etc. We would like the ability to export the ThemeBuilder package, add custom styles, then import back into ThemeBuilder. Is this possible? If not, this would be a great feature.

Thanks!
Ian

Hi Ian,

I've created a feature request for the custom fonts support in the ThemeBuilder here: https://feedback.telerik.com/themebuilder/1583058-support-for-custom-fonts-in-themebuilder-pro , just for reference and in order to track its status.

For a free text area feature, I am leaving it here so other users to put their votes or comments for it.

Hello Radoslav,

Yes, having a freeform text area would be very helpful at this time. Eventually, having an import feature would be nice so that we could export the ThemeBuilder package, edit, and then re-import. Gut for now, the text area would be great!

I am just noticing that a lot of styles are missing when exporting out the file. For instance, in Angular, the validation icon for inputs appears, but is not editable from within ThemeBuilder. Plus other stylization, like CSS transitions and custom icons as I mentioned.

Thank you for your consideration of this feature!

Best,
Ian

Hi Ian,

Currently, we do not have such functionality in ThemeBuilder. However, it sounds reasonable and I will forward it to our PM and engineering team for further consideration.

During the implementation of the ThemeBuilder, we discussed similar functionality - to have a freestyle text area in the property grid where the users can write any custom styles which are not currently supported in the ThemeBuilder (our ultimate goal is to support any custom styles via editors, but this is a time consuming, and we cannot release it with the first version). So, will such functionality be valuable for you, and do you think that having a freestyle input in the property grid can work in your case?

Regarding the custom icons: Currently, we are working on implementing support for custom fonts (including icon fonts) in the ThemeBuilder. The functionality will include uploading custom fonts (for example with icons) and later on in the property grid choosing which icon to be used in the selected part, via the icon editor.

Looking forward to your reply.

Regards,
Radoslav
