Please add theme based on CSS variables. That would allow developers to change theme at run-time and offer our customers similar experience that most (large) web sites offers, like Gmail, Office 365 online ...
Also, in the long run, this could be the only theme that's needed. All others could be based on this one.
The use case that we would like to cover is as follows.
1. Open an image in Paint.
2. Select a region and copy it.
3. Paste into the editor.
4. The image should be displayed in the editor.
It should, however, be encoded similar to the way that Kendo Grid for jQuery does to produce something like this.
<img src="data:image/png;base64,iVBORw0KGgoAAA...vwAAAABJRU5ErkJggg==" />
Note that the image is not hosted remotely at some URL, but rather is included inline within the body.
Please add the following features to the Editor in Kendo UI for Angular 2+:
- Table Wizard
- Split cell row
- Split cell column
- Merge cell row
- Merge cell column
Note: These features exist i the Kendo UI for ASP.NET MVC version of the editor.
The new calendar components is great, but it's missing a significant functionality, which has been available for a long time with the jquery calendar and users love. There are no arrows for navigating the calendar. The arrow buttons are much easier than keyboard page-up/page-down and the navigation bar. I realize there is very little space next to the Today button, but many users really need it.
There appear to be no decent solutions for PDF viewing in Angular in handling viewing of downloaded PDF files that works intelligently and consistently across all desktop and mobile browsers, and supports navigation, saving, and printing. 1. The Angular Kendo Report Viewer is limited to Telerik reports generated using the Telerik Report web infrastructure and doesn't handle PDFs from other sources. 2. There is an open source Angular viewer, that provides reasonable viewing and navigation, but doesn't support save to file. or print. https://github.com/VadimDez/ng2-pdf-viewer 3. Syncfusion have a very nice Angular PDF viewer, but requires buying there whole Angular suite. https://help.syncfusion.com/angular/pdfviewer/getting-started A Kendo Angular PDF Viewer Component
In the TimePicker (and other Date Input controls) you can in the input field use the arrow keys or mousewheel to go endless through the options. E.g. for minutes you can go directly from 00 to 59 using the down arrow. Especially with large ranges like minutes this is handy.
But in the popup you can't do that. It would be nice that the user can scroll directly from 00 to 59, 58 and so on. See composed image below.
(This should not be done when there are less options than the size of the popup, else you whould get duplicate options visible. That would be confusing for the user.)
Would be a usefull feature, especially when using this control on touch devices.
The TileLayout is a great addition to the jQuery version of Kendo UI. It would be great to have it also as a native component for the Angular version.
And by the way, it would be even greater if you would also add persistence for size and order of the tiles.
In the Kendo ComboBox, the selection part is not working with shadow dom.
Please look at the below links,
An example is provided in the below link under 'ENABLING SUGGESTION' section
When user type 'C', the first word starts with C in the list 'Croatia' is suggested and 'roatia' is selected. But as soon as I type 'y' next to 'c', the combo box is suggesting 'Cyprus' and 'prus' should be selected
As soon as I type the first word starts with C in the list is 'Croatia' is populated in the Combobox and 'roatia' is NOT selected. So the user cannot type ‘y’ in this case. But the user wants to select ‘CYPRUS’ but 'Croatia' is filled as the input and Cyprus is not suggested.
I have attached the video for the difference between with/without shadow dom.
Also, If you need any additional information, I have created a support ticket:
How to reproduce :
- Create a dropdown button with some items
- Open it with your mouse
What happens :
The first button is automatically focussed. Even with mouse use.
Feature request :
Allow to focus on nothing if you use the mouse.
Or allow to select the default focussed item with an input of DropdownButton component. It could accepts no default focus.
It should be possible to disable the user input on the Datepicker and the calendar pop-up only shows up if the user clicked on the "calendar button".
