Add theme based on CSS-variables

Please add theme based on CSS variables. That would allow developers to change theme at run-time and offer our customers similar experience that most (large) web sites offers, like Gmail, Office 365 online ...

Also, in the long run, this could be the only theme that's needed. All others could be based on this one.

Hi, all.

Keep an eye on the issue in repo. There will be an update quite soon -- either later today or tomorrow, we'll have a new experimental theme with css variables support.

Note: this will not be a complete theme!

Hi Elena,

Is it possible to have an update on this one please?

There has been no progress shared on the attached GitHub issue.

We need to display Kendo UI components with different styles accross our application but due to Sass variables we cannot achieve this.

Thank you for the provided feedback. We are planning on adding a theme based on CSS variables and we have logged it as an epic in our kendo-themes GitHub repository here. Once scoped and planned, we will continue with the implementation and the issue's status will be updated.
