Backend Exception when starting Fiddler Everywhere

Hi!

When starting Fiddler Everywhere version 1.1.1, I get an exception in the log file.

Fiddler does not cappture any traffic.

Do you know this problem?

How can I solve it?

Hi there,

Looking at your logs (specifically theelectron.log file) we saw that you are using another proxy:

"proxyRules":"http=127.0.0.1:8118;https=127.0.0.1:8118;ftp=127.0.0.1:8118","proxyBypassRules":"127.0.0.1;<local>"

It might be that proxy that is preventing Fiddler Everywhere to work as expected. Can you elaborate more on what that proxy is and if possible try to remove it and start Fiddler without those proxy settings in your environment?

If you are unsure what is the process that is using your preset proxy (the one on pprt 8118) then you could use the following command:

netstat -a -o | find "8118"
