Import Sessions > HTTPArchive > should import to a new window instead of appending to the current Live Traffic session.

With Fiddler on Windows an imported HAR file would load into a new window.

Current Fiddler Everywhere appends the HAR file into the current window you have open.

For example, I see my HAR import and it gets appended into the "Live Traffic" session. It should import into a new window like the existing windows version does.

Absolutely agree - this feature is legit and good to have. I've escalated this one also that the developers could triage it at our incoming release planning meeting.

I may be recalling the behavior of CharlesProxy instead.

Nevertheless, it is still a good feature request.

Hello TIm,

The latest version of Fiddler Everywhere is indeed appending imported sessions (like ones saved as HttpArchive). If you want to open those sessions in a separate window, you would need to save them (see the save option in the toolbar). The saved sessions are shown as an entry in the Sessions list. Another option is to create a SAZ archive (which will be treated as a Sessions entry).

You mentioned that opening in a new window is working with Fiddler on Windows. Can you clarify which version you are using so we could make a comparison of this behavior and discuss it internally? The Classic Fiddler (v5.0.20202.18177) is not opening HAR in a new window so I was wondering which version you are referring to.
