Support TLS/1.3 now that .NET Framework does

The .NET Framework has added support for TLS/1.3.

We should do the work to enable TLS/1.3 in Fiddler (it's very little additional work to add "Tls1.3" to the options dialog and the underlying code).

It appears that Fiddler has not been supporting TLS/1.3 because they have been developing Fiddler Everywhere.


In fact, it is because Fiddler Classic and Fiddler Everywhere are competitive, with the former being paid and the latter being free. If the free version's features are done well, who else will use the paid version?


I have also tried Fiddler Everywhere, but to be honest, it doesn't work as well as Fiddler Classic yet.
The Fiddler Everywhere installation is also very large and disgusting.
I don't want to say anything for the so-called cross platform.

Still hoping for TLS 1.3 support in Fiddler Classic! Is this enhancement still in the works? Thanks!

Hello,

 

The Fiddler team still supports Fiddler Classic, and all features related to that product are triaged, prioritized, and planned for future releases.

Currently, the team's main priority is developing and improving the new cross-platform version of Fiddler called Fiddler Everywhere. The application works on macOS, Linux, and Windows and provides modern UI and fresh features, including support for TLS 1.3, HTTP/2, gRPC, and much more.

Some servers now accept only tls1.3, is fiddler classic abandonware?
