Fiddler causing Visual Studio TFS Connectivity issue

Since I installed Fiddler on my machine, I am not able to connect to Team Foundation Server in Visual Studio (Version: 2013 Professional) if Fiddler is not running. I need to start the Fiddler first in order to connect to Team Foundation Server. I have tried various options that I found online. I even uninstalled Fiddler but still no luck.

Thanks in advance.

PS: I was not finding any other medium through which I should have communicated this, So, I've chosen to report it as a bug.

Hello Saurabh,

Thank you for reaching out. By default, when Fiddler starts, it changes your Internet proxy settings to 127.0.0.1:8888 (where Fiddler runs) and Fiddler uses whatever proxy settings you had in order to forward the requests. This is how Fiddler chains between you and your proxy.

When Fiddler shuts down, it writes back the previous Internet proxy settings. If for some reason Fiddler is forcefully closed or crashes, it may not succeed to recover your Internet proxy settings. Unfortunately, in this situation the fix is to manually write back your Internet proxy settings.

I hope that this will help you to solve your issue.

Regards,
Simeon
